Agricom Group has evaluated the effectiveness and level of implementation of digital technologies in the manufacturing process

The agricultural holding Agricom Group has evaluated the efficiency and level of implementation of various digital technologies. According to Agrohub’s research, today the agroholding has 100% implemented external farm management systems, satellite monitoring, use of vegetation indices and other technologies of generalized AI, agronomist’s tablet; 65% in communication with the field, including RTK-stations, 57% in differentiated application of PPE.

This was announced by the Executive Director of Agricom Group Petro Melnyk during the conference “DIGITAL FARMING – the effectiveness of modern digital technologies in agribusiness.” According to him, due to the continuous development, improvement and emergence of new information systems, the company has developed its own algorithm for their implementation:

  • to analyze the available resources;
  • to determine what problems need to be solved and whether the program solves them;
  • to develop a TT for implementation and consolidate instructions for implementation;
  • to train staff every winter for 2-3 weeks (this applies not only to the development of new technologies, but also to improve work with the old ones);
  • to create initiative groups, apply incentives, motivation in the form of awards, etc.;
  • to monitor constantly the status of implementation;
  • to monitor constantly new products appearing on the market.

“We should also remember that having a large number of programs is not always a good harvest,” said Petro Melnyk. “From my own experience I will say that these are not synonyms, at least for now, but this is a leadership in costs. At the moment, we are really leaders in spending on innovation, although in our case it is better to be leaders in productivity. However, I think in the next 3-5 years, these technologies will be honed to the level where there will be a direct link between technology and productivity. ”
