This season, Agricom Group has increased the area under winter wheat in the Bilokurakinsky cluster in the Luhansk region four times – up to 2 thousand hectares.

Currently, sowing in this region have been completed. Sowing of winter wheat in Zhytomyr and Chernihiv clusters is in progress. Sowing is planned to be completed by the end of the week.

In general, the winter wedge of cereals in all three clusters of the Group in 2021 will be about 5 thousand hectares.

According to Petro Melnyk, co-owner and CEO of Agricom Group: “We expect that the weather conditions will be more favorable for the future harvest. This season in the fields of Agricom Group about 1,000 experiments related to fertilization, tillage technology, seeds, etc. had been conducted. So, we hope the weather doesn’t fail.”

He also announced that Agricom Group has headed the homestretch in harvesting sunflowers. Now crops have been harvested on an area of 9,000 hectares, and another 3,000 hectares are expected to be farmed.

“This year, severe weather conditions have delayed the harvest of sunflowers. But thanks to the coordinated work of the professional team of Agricom Group and its innovative approach, we managed to overcome obstacles and hasten the harvest,” said Petro Melnyk.

The co-owner and CEO of Agricom Group also said that the Group’s fields are currently being prepared for the next season.
