Аgricom Group expects for sufficient increase of the corn yield
The national agro-industrial group Agricom Group is engaged in the cultivation of hybrid corn seeds.
According to the head of the Bilokurakinsky cluster of Agricom Group (Luhansk region) Stanislav Steshenko, the company decided to engage in hybridization of corn last year.
“We were looking for new opportunities to develop and increase yields per hectare. Changes in cultivation technology (reduction of sowing density to 50 thousand per hectare and application of soil herbicide) have yielded results – this season we expect an increase in yield up to 50%. Sowing was carried out with seeds of own production of Ukrainian selection (drought- and heat-resistant hybrid). We achieved a significant result thanks to our own mobile complex produced by the “Fadeev Agro Plant” – the seeds were well calibrated and treated,” Steshenko said.
According to Agricom Group, this year the weather conditions for corn are very favorable, as May and June were generous with precipitation. And the crop itself has a promising future for optimizing crop rotation.
