Agricom Group is establishing contacts with representatives of business circles of Iraq

On Friday, 29th of July, a meeting of representatives of the Iraqi business community with the leadership of a national agro-industrial group Agricom Group was held in Kyiv. The event was the result of the IV Ukrainian-Iraqi business forum, in which a delegation headed by Mr. Abbas Javad Alnoori, a member of the Advisory Council of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Republic of Iraq, acquainted with the possibilities of the national companies.

Special attention of visitors attracted precisely the agricultural sector of Ukraine and offered cooperation in supply of our national agricultural products, as well as joint investment projects in this sector.

Considering the cooperation with Agricom Group, potential partners, has discussed the possibility of providing large shipments of grain and flour during meeting. In addition, joint investment projects were also discussed at that time”, – said CEO of Agricom Group Petro Melnyk.

Few meetings were held due to as Iraq imports a significant number of agricultural and processed products from other neighboring countries, although these goods are of Ukrainian origin. In this connection, the delegation of business circles of the Republic of Iraq is actively working to establish direct supply to provide more attractive prices for consumers. Ukrainian companies are also interested in such a partnership, that will ensure the expansion of sales markets.
