The national agro-industrial group Agricom Group participated in “Community Based Approach to Local Development Project – III”
Village head of Osynove rural council in Novopskovskiy district thanked Stanyslav Steshenko, the head of Bilokurakyno cluster of the national agro-industrial group Agricom Group, for the participation in cofinancing of the project and expressed his hope for the further cooperation in this direction.
“We are pleased to support the initiative of rural community in Osynove, as corporate social responsibility for us is an integral part of main activities. We lease land shares from members of the community, we work here, and that is why we really understand the needs of the village. Agricom Group does not stand apart of such important projects for the rural people, and, if it is possible, it always takes part in them. Besides, the idea of innovation is very close to us, as we successfully implemented innovations within the enterprises of the Group. It helps to save non-renewable natural resources and reduce the negative impact on environment.
The main and primary objective of the project is the provision of the proper light in the streets in Osynove, rural people live without street light for many years. In the nearest time, this problem will be solved and the village will be one step closer to the European model of inhabited localities “- said Vasyl Kupryianets, the Deputy Director of the development and social support of communities in Bilokurakyno cluster of Agricom Group.
Such cooperation of rural communities with business at the local level is mutually beneficial. Entrepreneurs are considerably interested in the prosperity of villages as successful professionals who usually are the residents of these villages successfully work for these entrepreneurs. Financial participation of the national agro-industrial group Agricom Group in the project of improvement public services proves once again its status as a socially responsible company.
National agro-industrial group Agricom Group, participated in cofinancing of the project “New construction. The installation of street light by using innovative technologies in Osynove rural council. The installation of photo module on the column”. This project is implemented by UNDP together with the rural people, the rural council, regional/ local authorities and others. In summer, 2015 the Group allocated means to non-governmental organization “Osynivska” for the implementation of community initiatives within the territories where the Group cultivated its lands.
